THE EVENT ...
The 24 hours in mountain bike is a sports competition with open to everybody, over 15 yearsold. The competition starts at 12 noon on the June 14 and ends at 12h of June 15. The winners are the athelet and teams that run more laps to the established circuit.

ATHELETS...
Everybody can take part in this competition, as a Solo rider or in team relay of 2,4 or 8 participants. Theres a Empresa class for maximum 6 participants sponsored or workers of a company. Each element of a team must complete at least one lap in order to have his team classified. Each participant can take his time to complete the circuit, and in the start area can pause, get help or change with team mates.

TIME...
It will be used a electronic RFID system for the time control of the athelets. Each participant carrys one transpoder that is activated in the start/finish area and at two other points in the circuit.

OBJECTIVE
The aim of the competition is to give participants an event that is unique and original, being the first of its kind in Portugal. The event will have several side activities and entertainement that will keep all the participants and public busy.

SAFETY
The safety of the participants and general public is an important factor taking part in the plan and event running. Local medical teams are ready to intervention in the circuit area. Controlers and organization vehicles (off-road and quads) will cover the circuit.

PHYSICAL LEVEL
The way the competition is planned, everbody, from active athelets to first time participants, can take part and finnish their first 24 hour race. The circuit is over some hills on the best pine woods of the Portugal interior.
